  • Finding the right person

    We start by understanding what you actually need: the work, the team, the culture, and the kind of person who would fit. Once we have that picture, we run the search across job boards, social channels and our own candidate pool across England.

    Every applicant goes through our screening process before you see them. We assess attitude and motivation as well as skills. You get a shortlist of people who fit your business, not just the qualification criteria.

  • How we assess candidates

    Beyond standard recruitment, we run weekly assessment sessions with applicants. We test aptitude, English and maths, and relevant technical or creative skills depending on the programme. We also assess digital literacy, communication and professional behaviours.

    This gives us a detailed picture of each candidate before we put them forward. The people we recommend have been evaluated against what your role actually requires, not just what the apprenticeship standard asks for.

  • Getting your apprentice started

    Once you have chosen your candidate, we handle the setup. Funding registration, levy account configuration, onboarding paperwork, health and safety protocols, safeguarding requirements – all of it is managed by Vocate on your behalf.

    By the time your apprentice starts, everything is in place. We work with your existing HR processes where needed. You focus on welcoming a new team member. We make sure the compliance side is done properly.

  • 1-2-1 support throughout

    Every apprentice is assigned a dedicated Vocate tutor who checks in regularly throughout the programme – with the apprentice and with you. Your account manager is a single point of contact for anything that comes up on the employer side.

    We do not wait for problems to escalate. If something is not working, we pick it up early. If your apprentice is progressing well, we push the programme further. You will not be left to manage the learning journey alone.

  • How the training works

    All Vocate training is delivered online. There is no block release and no travel to college. Sessions are scheduled around your working week and can flex during busy periods. The learning happens alongside the job, not instead of it.

    Every Vocate tutor works in the industry they teach. Marketing tutors are active practitioners. ICT tutors work in technology. They bring real context to every session. We update our programmes as the industry changes, so the skills being built stay current and relevant to employers.
